No More Plastic? Fastjet Zimbabwe Rolls Out Eco-Friendly Cups on Flights

Fastjet Zimbabwe has introduced new environmentally friendly cups on its regional flights, marking a shift away from plastic-based in-flight service items.

The airline says the cups, made from non-plastic materials, are now being used for both hot and cold beverages across its routes connecting Harare, Bulawayo, and Victoria Falls.

The rollout follows several weeks of testing to assess durability and performance under flight conditions. Beyond reducing plastic use, the cups are designed to reflect Zimbabwe’s natural beauty and tourism appeal.

Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said the initiative goes beyond environmental compliance.

“More than an environmental contribution, these cups are a celebration of the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe. As a key player in the tourism industry, we are proud to connect visitors to destinations like Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.”
